Greenwood Housing Authority (864-227-3670) Section 8 applications and Public Housing applications taken daily Mon-Fri from 8AM-4:30 PM. Both housing programs applications are online @gwdscha.com.
Please make sure you print the housing application and the citizenship form before you submit the completed application. You can mail your completed application to 315 Foundry Rd., Greenwood SC 29646 or place it in the drop box located by the Public Housing door (first door from the parking lot)
Meg’s Rapid Rehousing Program – Rental Assistance for domestic violence victims and their dependent children. Must be in an emergency shelter, place not meant for human habitation, or fleeing a domestic violence situation and no other resources available. Operation Impact – must be chronically homeless (4 episodes of literal homelessness that equal a year’s time in the past 3 years or one-year consistent literal homelessness-on the street or in a shelter) and have a documented disability.
